Zhaogin Memorial Hall is located in Zhaogin Town, Yaozhou District, Tongchuan City, Shaanxi Province, and is a department-level institution under the Organization Department of the Tongchuan Municipal Committee. The memorial hall was first built and opened in 2004, and Qi Xin, the wife of Comrade Xi Zhongxun, attended the opening ceremony and wrote an inscription: “ Inherit the legacy of our forefathers and build the old revolutionary area.”

Red Zhaojin is more than 40 kilometers northwest of Tongchuan New District in Shaanxi Province, it is located at the border of three counties, namely Tongchuan Yaoxian, Xianyang Xunyi County and Chunhua County, it is next to the ZIiwu Ridge in the north, the south overlooking the Weibei Plateau, it is next to the Xianyu Street in the east, the west is next to the Shan-Gan hinterland, Surrounded by mountains and ravines, it is a unique area for guerrilla warfare activities. In the early 1930s, Liu Zhidan, Xie Zichang, Xi Zhongxun and other proletarian revolutionaries of the old generation threw their heads and spilled their blood here, and in the spring of 1933, they opened up a red armed area of about 2,500 square kilometers, centering on Zhaogin and spanning five counties, namely, Yaoxian, Xunyi, Chunhua, Yijun, and Tongguan, and it became the first mountainous revolutionary base area in the north of China.
